Company Description
ESCS is a cost recovery, service outreach program of the Centre for Applied Health Research and the Department of Kinesiology of the University of Waterloo. The objective of ESCS is to help business and industry solve problems by combining information from innovative measurement tools for the assessment of biomechanical aspects of risk of upper limb and low back injury, with considerations for the organizational and psychosocial aspects of workplace change processes. ESCS also provides a vehicle for students who are studying ergonomics and human factors related to work to obtain practical experience as assistants on projects, and for faculty to keep in touch with the workplace so that their university classroom and continuing education teaching remains relevant to business and industry issues.
