I will be the new instructor for the compensation management course at the University of Guelph this fall.  I hope to see some of my HR colleagues and business managers in attendance to learn how to manage this important organizational resource.

The compensation budget of the average organization represents ~70% of the total operating costs and is one of the most 'controllable' of expenses.  Learn to manage it effectively!

This HRPAO approved and CPA recognized course looks at the process, issues and techniques involved in developing and administering a compensation system. It examines the theoretical and applied aspects of the compensation function; the link between this function and the organizational management process; and the compensation system design necessary to attract, retain, and motivate the required workforce.

Designed For those working towards their University of Guelph Diploma in Human Resources Management, Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, PMCP and people working in or who wish to work in Human Resources or Payroll.

Objectives are to provide an understanding of the process, issues and techniques involved in developing and administering a total compensation system.
