Christa C. Wessel is a partner in Gowlings' Hamilton office where she is a member of the Business Law Group.

As General Counsel and Regional Compliance Officer of Siemens Canada, Christa played a major role in implementing a ground-breaking compliance program to address issues of bribery and corruption. Christa is highly experienced in the development and front-line implementation of corporate governance documentation in international and local business environments. By connecting people to processes that support strong, transparent control and compliance environments, she enhances business integrity.

Prior to joining Siemens, Christa practised as a partner in commercial law, business reorganizations and M&A at another national law firm.
